The Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration Treaty provides a clear governance structure and operating modalities of the GVTC governance organs:

(1) Landscape Management

(2) Tourism Development

(3) Community Conservation

(4) Law Enforcement

Their responsibilities is to advise the Board on any matter relating to their respective areas.

1. Each of the Regional Technical Committee comprises of three members from each Partner State. Ordinary Technical Committee meetings are held at least twice every year.
