DRC now chairs the Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration

On January 17, 2011, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) assumed the chair of the Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC), an initiative established to protect wildlife within the Virunga Massif that extends into Rwanda, Uganda and DRC.
